INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS: The FA 60 106 03 anchorage device complies with the requirements of European standard EN
795:2012 Type A.
It was developed to be installed on a suitable receiving structure, in particular on manhole type openings (round or square) in combination with suspend-
ed anchorage bracket FA 60 106 00 to provide an anchorage device suitable for access and/or rescue through manholes. It can also be installed on a wall,
a metal structure, etc., as an anchorage point to connect PPE during work at height.
The FA 60 106 03 has two 35 mm diameter oblong holes for mounting. Fastening is done using a system of nuts and bolts, preferably made of stainless
steel. The FA 60 106 03 is supplied without fasteners. During installation, verify ahead of time that the receiving structure is capable of withstanding the
forces generated when using the anchorage R > 23 kN.
The anchorage point is mounted on a swivel and allows a passage of 30 mm.
Installation:
1- On a manhole: Remove the manhole cover and place the an-
chorage device directly on the flange at the top of the manhole and
centred on the vertical axis of the manhole. The flat surface of the
connector
anchorage device must be in contact with the flange.
Match the holes in the flange to the oblong holes in the FA 60 106
03, attach the anchorage device using manhole/cover fasteners.
Make sure that these fasteners are the proper dimensions for this
installation and that they have a minimum strength of : 20 kN.
When installed in this way, the FA 60 106 03 anchorage device
can receive the EasySafeWay 2 (FA 60 106 00) as shown in the
diagram opposite.
2- On other structures: For this type of installation, it is essential to
ensure that the work to be carried out is located along the vertical
axis (red axis) of the anchorage device (tolerance +/- 30° on either side of the vertical axis). Attach using fasteners with the following characteristics:
M16, grade 10.9.
We recommend that the installation of this anchorage device (in particular its suitability for the receiving structure) be approved by a qualified person.
User safety relies on the ongoing effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
The readability of the product's markings must be checked regularly.
Before and during use, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for a safe rescue, should this be required. Since prolonged suspension
in a harness following a fall can result in various after-effects, it is essential that the rescue operation be carried out as safely and quickly as possible.
This equipment must only be used by trained, competent and healthy persons or under the supervision of a trained and competent person. Warning!
Certain medical conditions may affect user safety: if in doubt, please contact your doctor.
This equipment must be used by only one person at a time. However, it can be used by several people in a row.
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment and, therefore, the user's safety, particularly in the event of: exposure to
extreme temperatures (<-30°C or >+50°C); prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, moisture), chemicals or electrical constraints; the fall arrest
system becoming twisted when in use; sharp edges; friction; cuts; etc.
Do not use this device to lift loads.
Before each use: check that the anchorage device does not show signs of cracking or deformation. Pay particular attention to the condition of the fasten-
ers and the anchorage point: they must be in good apparent condition, free of marks, shocks, deformation, cracks, oxidation, etc. The anchorage point
must rotate freely (swivel). Product markings should be visible. If in doubt, the anchorage point must no longer be reused and must be marked "OUT
OF SERVICE" (see the "VERIFICATION" section).
Do not add, remove or replace any component of the device.
Chemicals: take the system out of service if it comes into contact with chemicals, solvents or fuels that could affect its operation.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Material: Treated aluminium. Weight: 6.25 kg.
