2.3 Use
• Do not cover the product when it is on. Never place pillows or blankets on or
against the product. This could result in a fire hazard, electric shock, personal
injury or damage to the product.
• Parts of the product become hot. Do not clean the product while it is still hot.
Wait until the product has cooled down before cleaning it.
• Do not use the product near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or near a basin or
sink filled with water. Do not touch the product and power cord with wet hands.
Make sure that the product does not come into contact with water. Do not
immerse the product in water. If water does get in or on the product, turn the
product off immediately and contact our customer service.
• The product gets hot when turned on. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Do not use
the product if you are sensitive to heat. Do not touch the hot parts of the product.
Only use the handle or knob.
• Let the product cool down completely before cleaning or storing it.
• Do not drop the product or subject it to large shocks.
• Always place the product on a level, stable and non-flammable surface.
• Do not place the product in areas subject to frequent shock or vibration. This may
result in tipping over and/or damage to the product.
• Do not touch the product with wet hands, as this may cause a shock or other
personal injury.
• Do not touch the product during use, the product becomes hot.
• Always insert the crumb tray before turning on the product. If you don't do this,
crumbs get into the product unnecessarily, this can affect the life of the product.
• Keep your hands, face, arms, hair and clothes away from the product when it is on
to avoid (burn) wounds.
• Use the product only to toast bread of max. 12 x 12 cm and 1.4 cm thick. Do not
put bread or pastries glazed or filled with jam, etc. in the product.
• Never turn on the product if there is no bread in it. This may cause damage to the
product.
• Do not put bread with butter on it in the product. This may cause damage to the
product.
• Be careful not to damage the heat elements when removing the bread. Do not
use metal objects or cooking utensils to remove the bread.
• Bread, cakes and cookies may catch fire if overheated! During operation, keep
the product at a suitable distance of at least 20 cm on each side of furniture,
walls, shelves, curtains and other objects.
• Do not place heat sources such as cooking equipment and barbecues in or near
the product, this may cause fire and damage.
• If any bread gets stuck, unplug it, let it cool and carefully remove the bread. Do
not use anything sharp or you will damage the elements.
• Do not put torn, curled or misshapen slices of bread in the product, or the
product may jam.
