5.
USING YOUR POWER TOOL
Charging the battery.
Before using the battery for the first time, charge it using an original RYOBI battery charger.
Remove the battery (6) by pressing the unlock button and pulling it out of the handle towards the front.
Do not force on it.
Plug the battery charger into the socket and charge the battery. Once the battery has been charged, place it back on the
power tool and unplug the battery charger.
A new battery does not reach its full charge until after several cycles of charging/discharging.
Do not charge a battery which has already been recharged.
Do not charge the battery until it is discharged and thus unable to drive in any more screws.
Replace the battery if the tool looses its power rapidly after insertion of the charged battery or if the battery can no longer be
charged up at normal temperature.
If the power tool is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery to prevent the battery charge from becoming
excessively low.
Before charging the battery for the first time, read the operating instructions for the battery charger!

SWITCHING THE POWER TOOL ON/OFF (5)

Mount the charged battery.
Switching the power tool ON:

Press switch (5): the speed depends on the amount of pressure exerted on the switch.
Switching the power tool OFF:

To turn off the tool, release the switch.

INVERTING THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION (4)

This button is used to select the direction of rotation.
The motor cannot be started if this button is in the central position.
Select the direction of rotation when the power tool is at a stand-still.
8.
SELECTING THE SPEED (3)
Speed 1: slow speed and high torque.
Speed 2: fast speed and low torque.
Carry out a trial run to determine the correct speed to suit the material.
Only select the speed when the motor has slowed down or is at a standstill.
