Adjustment of the fl oat
switch
The fl oat switch (3) is adjusted so that it
can be started up immediately.
In the case of stationary installation,
check regularly (no less then once
every three months) that the fl oat
switch (3) is working.
The switch-on/switch-off point of the fl oat
switch (3) can be set in multiple incre-
ments:
1. Press the lever (13) on the fl oat switch
height adjustment (2) together and
move it to the desired position.
2. Release the lever (13). The fl oat switch
height adjustment (2) locks into place.
Check the fl oat switch (3).
- It must be positioned so that it
can lift and lower freely. The
switching point heights "On"
and "Off" must be easy to
reach.
Check this by placing the pump
into a vessel fi lled with water
and lift the fl oat switch (3) care-
fully by hand and then lower it
again. In this case, you can see
whether the pump switches on
and off.
- Also ensure that the separation
distance between the fl oat switch
(3) head and the fl oat switch
height adjustment (2) is not too
small. In the case of a separa-
tion distance which is too small,
trouble-free functioning cannot
be guaranteed.
- During the adjustment of the fl oat
switch (3), ensure that the fl oat
switch does not contact the fl oor
before the pump switches off.
The pump run dry if too long a fl oat
switch cable (
12) is chosen,
particularly if the fl oat switch height
adjustment (2) is not installed (see
„Initial Operation").
