5.1.1 Fixing with the foundation kit
Fixing with a foundation plate involves laying new
foundations to support the plate. Figs.9 and 10. illustrate
the positions of the foundation.
Warning
It is essential that the foundation works be carried
out perfectly and that the plate be correctly
positioned with respect to the wing.
The following points must also be considered:
• Excavate a pit according to the given dimensions
(Fig.9-10).
• Fill the pit with good-quality cement.
• The support base for the foundations must be
constructed above the level of the surrounding
ground level; if necessary raise the level a few
centimetres.
Warning
In very snowy zones or areas subject to fl ooding we
recommend positioning the plate 10-12 cm above the
ground surface.
• Before fi lling in the pit, adjust the position of nuts N
with respect to slab template D to obtain the required
height for the gearmotor in relation to the ground
surface (Fig.10).
• The pit and plate must be prepared with regard to the
position of the closed gate, as shown in Fig.11.
Warning
Leave a distance of 50 mm between the edge of the
slab and the gate surface (Fig.11).
