Residual energy must be released from the pressurized hydraulic fluid before any maintenance
or repair work is performed on the wood processor. Hydraulic fluid can remain highly
pressurized even when the processor motor is turned off. Pressurized hydraulic fluid that
escapes can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury.
To release residual hydropower:
1. Turn off the engine
2. Move the control valves back and forth, from one travel boundary to the other, at least four
times.
3. Hold the valve for three seconds at each travel limit.
