You will need:
A nearthedelectricaloutletlocatedwithin1.8m(6ft.)of

entiredryer.Installingthedryeronsoftfloorsurfaces,
suchascarpetsorsurfaceswithfoambacking,isnot

Electric dryer installation clearances
Thelocationmustbelargeenoughtoallowthedryerdoor

tobefullyopened.
A dditionalspacingshouldbeconsideredforeaseof

installationandservicing.Thedooropensmorethan180°.
A dditionalclearancesmightberequiredforwall,door,and

floormoldings.
A dditionalspacingof25mm(1")onallsidesofthedryeris

recommended to reduce noise transfer.
When installing an electric dryer:
IMPORTANT:Observeallgoverningcodesandordinances.
Checkcoderequirements:Somecodeslimitordonot

permitinstallationofclothesdryersingarages,closets,or
sleepingquarters.Contactyourlocalbuildinginspector.
Recessed Area and Closet Installation Instructions
Thisdryermaybeinstalledinarecessedareaorcloset.This
dryermustnotbeinstalledbehindalockabledoor,asliding
door,oradoorwithahingeontheoppositesidetothatof
thedryer.Forrecessedareaandclosetinstallations,minimum
clearancescanbefoundonthewarninglabelontherearofthe
dryerorin"Dimensions/Clearances."
Theinstallationspacingisinmillimetersandistheminimum
allowable.Additionalspacingshouldbeconsideredforease
ofinstallation,servicing,andcompliancewithlocalcodes
and ordinances.
Ifclosetdoorisinstalled,theminimumunobstructedair
openinginthetopandbottomisrequired.Louvereddoors
withequivalentairopeningsareacceptable.
Thedryermustbeexhaustedoutdoors.
Nootherfuel-burningappliancemaybeinstalledinthesame
closet as the dryer.
