10.4 Oil alarm system
The oil alarm system is designed to avoid engine damaged caused by an
insufficient amount of oil in the sump. Before the oil level in the engine sump is
below the safety limit, the oil alert system will shut the engine down automatically.
NOTE: Protection due to lack of oil must be considered of extreme safety. It is
the sole responsibility of the user to check the oil level before each use as
indicated in the manual. It is unlikely for this safety to fail, but if it does, damage in
the engine would be very significant. The user would be solely responsible for lack
of maintenance and repair would be excluded from the warranty.
Remember that it is a safety alarm in case of critical level; it is not a low oil level
indicator.
NOTE: The oil alarm only acts in case of a level failure, it cannot protect in
case of inadequate oil or if it is in poor condition.
11. Stopping the engine
To stop the generator in case of an emergency, turn the fuel selector in the
control panel to "OFF". If you use propane you must close the propane bottle
valve, too.
Normal engine shutdown:
1 Unplug the electrical devices plugged to the generator.
2 After 2 minutes, turn off passing the fuel selector to the OFF position.
3 Close the propane valve in regulator of bottle (if you are using this fuel).
