Short-term operation
The appliance is designed to process
average domestic quantities of food; it
can be operated without interruption for a
maximum of 60 seconds, when it should be
allowed to cool down suffi ciently.
Before fi rst use
Remove any packing materials completely
and clean all accessories as described in the
section Cleaning and care.
Preparing food
The food to be processed should be
thoroughly washed and, if required, peeled
or cut into smaller pieces,

∙ All 8 inserts can be stored inside the
pestle, as a space-saving measure: stack
them on top of each other and slide them
into the pestle with the narrow sides
facing down.
Operation
∙ Select the required inserts and fi t them
into the mounting, making sure they lock
into place (see picture I).
∙ Fit the insert mounting into the grating
chamber.
∙ Fit the locking ring, with the broad rim
facing down, onto the grating chamber
and turn anti-clockwise to lock.
∙ Fit the grating chamber into the drive unit
at a 20 ° angle to the right and turn anti-
clockwise again to lock (see picture II.)
∙ Place a suitable container underneath the
dispenser chute on the grating chamber.
∙ Insert the plug into a wall outlet and turn
the appliance on by means of the On/Off
switch.
∙ Once the appliance is operating, put the
food down the feeder chute, using the
pestle if necessary.
∙ Caution: Never put your fi ngers inside
the feeder or dispenser chute.
∙ After use, turn the appliance off and
disconnect it from the mains.
Cleaning and care
∙ Always switch the appliance off, remove
the plug from the wall socket and wait
until the motor has come to a complete
standstill before cleaning.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the appliance with liquids or
immerse it.
