• After frying, hold the basket holder and basket only by its handle; do not touch
the holder or basket. Always wait until the basket holder and basket have
cooled down suffi ciently before cleaning.
• Do not carry or move the appliance while it is in use.
• When the basket holder is taken out, hot air will escape. Hold the basket
holder only by its handle, and do not lean over it.
• Do not leave the basket holder and the basket unattended while they are still
hot.
1.6 Lack of hygiene
Lack of hygiene may result in germs forming inside the appliance:
• To prevent any dried-on food residues collecting inside the unit, the appliance
and all its accessory parts must be thoroughly cleaned before it is used for the
fi rst time, and also immediately after each cycle of use.
• Do not leave any food items in the basket holder if the appliance is not in use.
There is also a health risk if unsuitable cleaning agents are used:
• Only food-grade cleaning agents should be used for cleaning individual
components that come into contact with food.
1.7 Danger of damage to the unit
Incorrect handling of the appliance can cause damage:
• Always place the unit on a dry, level, non-slip and heat-resistant surface, which
is impervious to contact with the rubber feet.
• Do not position the appliance on a hot surface or near any strong source of
heat.
• Do not let the power cord hang free, or over the edge of a table.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or tools other than those specifi ed in the
instructions to clean the unit.
• Before the appliance is stored away, remove the plug from the socket and
allow the unit to cool down completely.
