Simply to keep food warm, the thermostat
should be adjusted to a lower setting.
Operation
– Place the grill stone and the reversible grill
plate on the unit as described above.
– Insert the plug into a suitable outlet
and turn the thermostat control to its
maximum setting (6).
– Aft er pre-heating for about 10 minutes,
the appliance is ready for use. However,
the grill stone requires a pre-heating time
of around 25 minutes.
– Place the food to be cooked on the grill
plate or on the stone as required. Th e grill
plate can also be used for preparing crêpes
or pancakes.
– Put the raclette ingredients into the mini-
pans. Place the pans in the appliance,
under the heating element, and leave them
until the cheese has melted.
Warning: Do not place empty mini-pans
in the appliance while it is switched on.
– Once grilling is fi nished, turn the
thermostat control to its minimum setting
(•) and disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply.
Practical hints
– Frozen food should always be properly
thawed before it is cooked.
– To avoid damage to the coating of grill plate
or mini-pans, do not use metal cutlery or
other sharp or pointed implements when
placing or turning the food or the crêpes.
– When grilling larger amounts of food,
accumulated fat should be carefully
removed from time to time, using e.g.
paper towels.
Helpful hints for food preparation
How to prepare raclette cheese
Use about 200 to 300 grammes of cheese per
person of a suitable soft cheese and cut into
3 - 5 mm slices. Cheeses such as original
raclette, Tilsit or Appenzell are the most
suitable.
Mini-pans
Fill the pans with the ingredients according
to your preference and place the prepared
cheese on top. Here are some ideas for
suitable ingredients:
pineapple, mushrooms, fennel, leeks, bell
peppers, grilled turkey breast, salami,
cucumber, cooked ham, celery, tomatoes,
zucchini, onions.
Some ingredients, such as ham, can be
cooked fi rst on the plate before they are put
into the mini-pan.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika etc.
Grilling
Th e plate is suitable not only for meats such
as pork or chicken breast fi llets, but also for
fi sh.
Pancakes / crêpes
To prepare pancakes on the reversible grill
plate, prepare the dough following the recipe
below and put a small amount of dough into
the shallow recesses. As soon as the surfaces
become fi rm, use a suitable implement (eg a
wooden spatula) to turn the pancakes over.
Ingredients:
120 g
fl our
20 g
sugar
3
eggs
60 g
melted butter or oil
200 ml milk
½ tsp salt
100 ml water or mineral water
Preparation:
– Use a hand blender to blend thoroughly
together the fl our, sugar, eggs, melted
butter, milk and salt.
– Add the water and continue stirring until
the dough is smooth.
– Let the dough rest for about 60 minutes.
