Functions without a SIM card

Several functions of your phone may be used without installing a SIM card
(for example, data transfer with a compatible PC or other compatible device).
Some functions appear dimmed in the menus and cannot be used.
3. Call functions
Your phone can make and receive calls using a cellular mobile phone network or a
wireless local area network (WLAN), also called Wi-Fi, for voice calls over the internet.

Make a voice call

1. Enter the phone number, including the area code.
For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the + character
replaces the international access code), enter the country code, the area code
without the leading 0, if necessary, and the phone number.
2. To call the number, press the call key.
To increase or decrease the volume during a call, press the volume keys.
3. To end the call or to cancel the call attempt, press the end key, or close the phone.
To find a name or phone number that you saved in Phonebook, see "Find a contact,"
p. 60. Press the call key to call the number.
To access the list of dialed numbers, press the call key once in the standby mode.
To call a number, select a number or name, and press the call key.
