2.1.
Components
Timer control (analogical model):
It is controlled from the outside and can be set from 0 to 60 minutes. This control consists of two
phases which are:
•
Duration of drying cycle.
•
Duration of Cool-down (last 5 min.)
Temperature control (analogical model):
A thermostat, controlled from the outside, maintains a constant temperature in the inside of the
dryer. This can be adjusted from 0º to 90ºC in order to work with the optimum temperature for each
type of material.
Machine Control (digital model):
Machine control is achieved through an electronic microprocessor that turns on and off each
system. The user interface comprises a keyboard and a four-digit display on the top of the machine
front.
The microprocessor comprises 10 fully programmable and fully adjustable programs, plus one freely
usable program to be directly determined by the user when required.
A digital temperature probe, fitted in the lower area of the drum, is used for keeping a constant
temperature within the dryer. The target temperature can be adjusted by means of the above-
mentioned electronic control, so that values ranging from 0º C to 99º C may be selected in order to
apply the optimal temperature for every kind of fabric.
The probe sends a signal to the electronic plate, which then turns the heating area on or off. The
programming works on the basis of a 3º C-hysteresis cycle.
Time control is achieved internally within the microprocessor.
The ant-iwrinkle process starts automatically on completion of each cycle (drying + cooling down).
The microprocessor has some signals built-in which indicate the need to clean the filter.
Heating:
The heating system may be run on electric, gas, steam or thermal fluid (steam or thermal oil). The
heating battery has been attached to the top back of the machine.
Lint filter:
This filter, installed at the bottom of the machine, removes the lint, fluff and any solid matter
detached from the material processed by the dryer, thus preventing them from reaching the
extraction-ventilator propeller. The filter accumulates the lint on its surface.
Although the size of the filter should allow it to operate for several days under dirty conditions, it is
advisable to clean it every 4-5 working hours. See chapter 9, maintenance.
THE DRYER PERFORMANCE DEPENDS TO A CONSIDERABLE EXTENT ON THE PROPER
MAINTENANCE (CLEANING) OF THESE ELEMENTS
