THE ANALOG QUARTZ WATCH TESTER ZONE
The analog quartz watch tester zone is designed especially for the test of analog quartz watches. Place the watch on the
analog quartz watch sensor zone of the HOROTEC
1. IMPULSE mode (receiver)
The analog quartz detector receives pulses generated by quartz movement and emits an audible "beep" signal :
o each second for watches with "sweep seconds hand",
o each 5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 seconds for other types of watches.
o Remarque : Sometimes it is necessary to move the watch to locate the best signals.
2. TURBO mode (transmitter)
Keep pressed continuously down the «ON» button to generate a magnetic field for testing or unjamming the
wheel train. Note : Sometimes it is necessary to move the watch on the surface of the sensor to locate the best
rotating effect.
3. ACCURACY mode
Set the menu on "Accuracy +/-"mode and place the analogue quartz watch on the "Quartz Analogue Watch" zone.
The test starts automatically.
The device receives the watch pulses by receiving magnetic signals.
The pulses received are shown on the LCD display (right) by
The
represent the signal strength received. (1 : weak, 2 : medium, 3 : suitable). It is recommended to set the
■
maximum signal strength by moving slightly the watch (right, left, up and down). Other possibilities to the setup are
available in the menu «Stability».
PROBES
The (-) black and (+) red probes are designed especially to get accurate measurements. The handles of the probes are
coated, insulated and fitted with a thin precision tip that makes contact with the small watch components easier.
LCD DISPLAY
The large digits give quick and easy readings. Precision of the values: 1/100.
Attention : Tests of closed watch may not operate in some conditions e.g. when the watches are made of thick and/
or stainless steel watch cases and/or with a very low consumption movements. When these occur open the
watch case.
