BEZZERA BZ16
MOD.
DIRECT WATER CONNECTION mode.
The transformation from TANK to DIRECT WATER
CONNECTION mode implies a pressure varia-
tion, detected by the pump pressure gauge (Fig.
01; pos. 15), which can be reset by operating the
adjustment joint (Fig. 12; pos. 1) as described in
paragraph 4.3.3 of this booklet.
4.3.1 BZ16 "TOP-DIRECT WATER
CONNECTION" MODE
The machine is delivered in TANK mode; to trans-
form it in DIRECT WATER CONNECTION mode,
proceed as follows:
- Make sure that the machine is not connected
to the power mains and that all its parts are
cold.
- Remove the tank (Fig. 10; pos. 1), position
the plug with its seals (Fig. 10; pos. 3) fully
screwing it and connect the tank probe bypass
to the specific tongue located on the tank sup-
port (Fig.10; pos. 2).
- Remove the plug with its seal (Fig. 11; pos. 2)
and replace it with the water load tube (Fig.
11; pos. 1) provided, taking care not to dam-
age and/or scratch the any part of the ma-
chine.
For connection to the water mains, comply with
paragraph 4.2.2. of this booklet.
4.3.2 BZ16 "TOP-TANK" MODE
It is possible to restore the TANK mode, returning
the machine to the original delivery mode, acting
as follows:
- Make sure that the water tap is closed and that
the machine is not connected to the power
mains and that all its parts are cold.
- Remove the water load tube (Fig. 11; pos. 1)
and replace it with the plug and its seal (Fig.
11; pos. 2) taking care not to damage and/or
scratch any part of the machine.
- Remove the cap with its seals (Fig. 10; pos. 3),
disconnect the tank probe bypass cable from
the specific tongue located on the tank sup-
port (Fig.10; pos. 2) and reposition the tank
(Fig. 10; pos. 1) in its original position.
4.3.3 BZ16 VERSION "TOP" - PUMP
ADJUSTMENT
After the transformation, it is possible to change
the operating pressure, returning it to 9 bars (0,9
MPa) as set in factory, screwing or unscrewing the
adjustment joint located in the bottom section of
the machine (Fig. 12; pos. 1).
After performing the operations described in par-
agraphs 5.1 and 5.2 of this booklet, operate as
follows:
1 - Insert the filter holder with blind filter (Fig. 09;
pos. 16) in its seat.
2 - Start up coffee distribution (Fig. 04; pos. 2a-
2d), take note of the pressure and Stop coffee
distribution.
3 - Unscrew the counternut (Fig. 12; pos. 2).
4 - Screw the pump adjustment joint (Fig. 12; pos.
1) to increase pressure or unscrew to decrease,
performing no more than a complete turn at a
time.
Repeat operations 2 and 4 until the pressure of
the pump during dispensing is returned to 9 bars
(0.9 MPA) or however between 8 and 10 bars
(0.8 and 1.0 MPa).
5 - Screw the counternut (Fig. 12; pos. 2).
Attention:
- Do not remove the filter holder with blind filter
when the machine is operating.
- Do not set the pump pressure above 10.5 bars
(1.05 MPa).
5 - USE OF THE MACHINE
