Insulated Flue
CONNECTION TO FLUE
• Connect the appliance to the
flue of the existing chimney,
making sure that the exhaust
fume pipe does not take up
the free section of the flue.
• Use only tubes equipped
with seal gasket.
• Reduce horizontal sections
(max 2 meters) and curves.
CHIMNEY COWL
•
The chimney cowl must comply with the following characteristics:
− Same cross-section as the chimney.
− The working outlet section must not be lower than twice the cross-section of the
chimney.
− It must be built so as to prevent rain, snow or foreign bodies from penentrating into
the chimney, and in a such a way that the exhaustion of combustion products is
ensured even in case of winds blowing from any sides or angles.
− It must be positioned so as to guarantee an adequate dispersion and dilution of the
combustion products, and in any case, outside the backflow zone where the formation
of counter pressure is likely to occur. This area has several dimensions and
configurations depending on the inclination angle of the roof and therefore it is
necessary to comply with the minimum height as indicated in the following tables:
