Control functions
4.2.1
Normal mode
FEED
Feed in one label.
PAUSE
Pause the current print job. The MEDIA
LED flashes.
The paused print job is resumed.
CANCEL Cancel the current print job.
Resume printing after error is fixed.
4.2.2
System mode
The printer cannot receive commands
from the PC while it is in system mode.
Activate system mode
1 Press and hold the CANCEL button for four sec-
onds.
The three LEDs will all start to flash, indicating
that the printer has entered system mode.
End system mode
System mode will automatically be deactivated if no
command has been entered within four seconds of
entering the mode.
Self-test
1 Press the PAUSE button while in system mode.
The three LEDs will all flash.
The printer will then print out a configuration re-
port.
The three LEDs are then lit up continuously, and
the printer is once again in normal (ready) mode.
The following information is printed out:

A list of fonts
-
The hardware configuration and status
-
The DIP switch settings
-
The label parameters
-
The firmware version

Calibrating the label sensor
The label sensor must be calibrated each time that
you change the type of label you are using.
1 Press the FEED button while in system mode.
The three LEDs will begin flashing.
The printer will then feed in about 200 mm of la-
bels.
The three LEDs are then lit up continuously, and
the printer is once again in normal (ready) mode.
Reset
1 Press the CANCEL button while in system mode.
The following parameters are reset to their fac-
tory default settings:

The label parameters
-
The heat power used
-
The printing speed
-
Other special settings
The three LEDs are then lit up continuously, and
the printer is once again in normal (ready) mode.
The counter for printed labels cannot be
reset.
