SERVICING AND CARE
The maintenance operations guarantee a proper operation of the product over
its lifetime. Not making these maintenance operations will affect the security of
the product.
7.1
BURNER CLEANING
The burner cleaning must be made daily.
•
Remove the burner from its place and clean the holes (see drawing
D11).
•
Use a vacuum to get rid of the ashes in the burner. You can buy a
Bronpi vacuum-cleaner in the same Bronpi distributor where you bought
your stove. (See drawing D12).
D13
An authorised technician must do the maintenance at least once a year.
7.4
CLEANING THE CHIMNEY
When the pellet is burnt slowly, it produces tar deposits and other organic vapours that combined with the humidity to create soot (creosote).
An excessive accumulation of soot may cause problems in the smoke outlet and the flue may catch fire if not maintained.
The cleaning of the stove chimney should only be made when the equipment is cold. A chimney sweep should perform this task and, at the
same time, examine the smoke duct (it is recommended to write down the dates of every cleaning and keep a register of them).
7.5
CLEANING THE GLASS
IMPORTANT:
Clean the glass only when it is cold in order to avoid possible explosion. You can use specific products. You can find Bronpi
vitroceramic-cleaning product in the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove (see drawing D15).
BREAKAGE OF GLASSES. The glasses, as they are vitroceramic, resist until 750ºC and they are not subject to thermal
shocks. The breakage can only be caused by mechanical shocks (crashes or violent closing of the door, etc). Therefore, its
replacement is not included in the warranty.
7.6
EXTERNAL CLEANING
Do not clean the external surface of the stove with water or abrasive products
because they may damage the stove. Use a feather duster or a rag a bit wet.
7.7
CLEANING THE ASH RESERVOIRS
To keep the validity of the guarantee it is mandatory to do
the register cleaning by a technician authorised by Bronpi
Calefacción, who will write down the statement made.
It involves cleaning the ash reservoirs of your stove such as smoke zones.
First of all you must clean the whole inside of the combustion chamber,
removing the inside plates of the stove because of the soot uses to accumulate on walls and it difficult the thermal exchange. To do it you
must remove the top baffle plate, whose function is to support the rear vermiculite pieces (see drawing D16). Then, brush the surfaces with a
wire brush to clean the dirtiness.
When the combustion chamber is clean, we have to clean the smoke register placed on the bottom of the stove. To do it, it is necessary
open the door of the combustion chamber and then, does the next
operations:
-
Remove the reservoir cover unscrewing the different screws.
See drawing D17.
-
Clean the ashes deposited on the register, decaling the soot
deposited.
-
Cleaning the extractor forks and shell. Remove the extractor if
necessary. See drawing D18.
-
Replace all the pieces and check the staunchness of the
reservoir.
INSTALLATION, OPERATING AND SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
7.2
CLEANING THE ASH PAN
The ash pan should be emptied when necessary. The stove should not be operated without having the ash
pan inside (see drawing D13).
7.3
SEALS OF THE COMBUSTION DOOR AND THE GLASS FIBBER
The joints guarantee stove hermetic nature and, thus, a proper performance
(see drawing D14).
It is necessary to check them regularly; if they are worn-out or damaged they
should be replaced immediately. You can find ceramic cord and self-adhesive
fibber at the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove.
These operations should be done exclusively by an authorised technician.
