Error detection when two hard-disk drives
have been installed
If an error is detected with two hard-disk drives
installed, an error indication "DISK ERROR(1)"
(master drive) or "DISK ERROR(2)" (slave drive) is
displayed on the monitor screen. As the error has
occurred in most cases, on the disk being accessed at
that time, the number in parentheses indicates which
disk was being accessed. Note, however, that the error
may have occurred on the other drive in rare cases. If
the unit cannot determine which disk it was, the
display will be only "DISK ERROR."
If such an error is generated, consult your Sony dealer.
