General Operation
DANGER: To avoid serious personal
injury, do not overreach and do not stand
on a ladder, stepstool, or any raised
position that is not fully secured.

injury, do not stand directly under the limb
being worked on. Stand away so that the
limb falls safely to the ground.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury,
always wear proper boots, gloves, head,
ear, and eye protection.
OPERATING TEMPERATURE
This pole saw is designed to operate within
a temperature range of 32°F to 104°F (0°C to
40°C)
GRIP
Always grip the tool with both hands For right-
handed operation, grasp the extendable shaft
comfortably with the left hand and the rear
handle with the right Wrap fingers firmly
around each handle (Fig 21)

Operating the Pole Saw
RIGHT-HANDED GRIP
For left-handed operation, grasp the
extendable shaft comfortably with the right
hand and the rear handle with the left (Fig 22)

LEFT-HANDED GRIP
Hold the pole saw at about a 60° angle (Fig 23);
this is the least tiring work position and helps
ensure a safe distance from falling debris
