5 Setting into Operation

WARNING Never look directly into the LEDs; this
may cause eye damage.
Please note that fast changes in light-
ing, e. g. flashing light, may trigger
epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
Connect the mains cable provided to the mains jack
(17) first, then connect it to a socket (230 V~/ 50 Hz).
While starting, the display shows
remain dark. Then the unit will be ready for operation
and can be controlled via a DMX controller (
ter 7) or will automatically operate according to the
show programme adjusted (
off the unit, disconnect the mains plug.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a mains socket which is
switched on and off via a light switch.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains voltage
via a dimmer!

5.1 Basic adjustments

The following basic adjustments can be made via the
display (10) and the control buttons (5 – 7). For this
purpose, press button MENU (5) so many times until
the desired function is displayed. Then press button
ENTER (7). Make sure that the next button is pressed
within 8 seconds, otherwise the adjusting process will
end. The menu structure can be found on page 19.
Blackout mode on or off
Use button DOWN or UP (6) to select:
The LEDs will be permanently on. This adjust-
ment must be selected when the unit is oper-
ated without a DMX controller.
The LEDs will only light up when there is a
DMX control signal at the jack DMX INPUT
(15). Once the DMX controller is switched off,
all LEDs will go out.
To memorize, press button ENTER (7).
Display on or off
Use button DOWN or UP (6) to select:
The display (10) will always be on.
The display will be switched off approx. 40 s
after pressing the last button. It will be switched
on again the next time a button is pressed.
To memorize, press button ENTER (7).
Text on the display turned by 180°
Use button DOWN or UP (6) to select:
normal representation
text turned by 180°
To memorize, press button ENTER (7).
Approx. 8 s after pressing the last button, the adjusting
menu will be exited automatically.

6 Operation without DMX Controller

When there is no DMX control signal at the jack DMX
INPUT (15), the yellow LED MASTER (4) will light up,
the display (10) will show the function adjusted and the
unit will automatically operate according to the show
programme selected. For this purpose, the Blackout
function must be deactivated,

6.1 Selecting a function

When selecting a function, make sure that the next
button (5 – 7) is pressed within 8 seconds, otherwise
the adjusting process will end and the unit will return to
the previous function. The menu structure can be
found on page 19.

6.1.1 Show programmes

Four different colour change programmes (Nos. 1 – 4)
and four different running light programmes (Nos.
5 – 8) are available. In addition, there is a colour tran-
sition programme (indication

MIN]. Confirm the adjustment with button ENTER.
The display stops flashing and returns to the indi-
cation of the programme number after 8 seconds.
Note: When programme No. 0 is not music-controlled
(operating steps 5 and 6), the colour transition function will
be activated.
5) For music control of programmes 0 – 8 (programme
cannot be music-controlled), the music con-
trol must be switched on:
a) Press button MENU so many times until
displayed.
b) Activate menu item
