isnotcompatible.Themessage"NOSDCARD"appears
ontheLCDscreeninred.
Ifyoudonothearanacousticsignalyoucanproceed
withthecamerasetupprocedure.

Mounting the camera

1.Mountingstrap
Onthebackofthecameratherearetwomounting
brackets(17)forfixingthecamerawithastrap.Pass
themountingstrapincludedinthescopeofdelivery
throughthetwobrackets.Fastenthecamerausingthe
buckleonthemountingstrap.Additionallythecamera
canbesecuredwithastandardsafetyharness.
2.Tripod
Onthebackofthecameraontheoutsidethereisa14"
tripodthread(8)formountingthecameraonatripod.

Yourcamerahastwomodesettings:

1. SET UP mode

SwitchyourDTC500camerato"SETUP"mode(main
switch(12)inmiddleposition).Inthissettingyoucan
adjusttheprogrammingofthecameraaswellasall
displaysettingssuchasdate,time,temperatureetc.that
aretobelaterdisplayedonthephotosorvideoclips.

2. ON mode:

Switch your DTC 500 camera to "ON" mode (main
switch(12)isswitchedtotheright).Inthismodeyour
DTC500cameraautomaticallyacceptsthelatestadjust-
mentsmadeintheSetUpmode.
Note:TheblueLED(3)inthecenteroftheLEDfield
(1)flashesforapprox.10secondsbeforethecamerais
readyforoperation.
