There are 2 ports for output.
· The DVI1 output port is for the live screen.
· The DVI2/VGA is for the preview monitor.
There are 3 connectivity ports supporting the 3 ways that the MVP Processor software can
communicate with the signal processor.
· The LAN port is for connection to a PC via an Ethernet hub. Ethernet hub is the recommended
type of connection.
· The USB is for USB connection directly to a PC. This is for upgrading the signal processor
software.
· The RS232 port is for serial connection directly to a PC.
All input and output connections are done from the back of the signal processor. The only exception
is the USB input which is on the front of the signal processor.
All input sources, and output monitors and screens, connect directly to the signal procesor. The PC
running the signal processor software is connected to the PC running the signal processor software
through an ehternet hub. This hub is not included, but can be purchased from any home electronics
store.
The diagram on the next page shows a typical setup using a PC, running both media server and the
signal processor software, to manage input from the media server, a camera, and a DVD player.
The diagram shows the following connections:
1. The monitor for the media server and signal processor software is connected to one of the video
graphics cards in the media server.
2. The media server is connected to the hub. This connects the signal processor software on the
media server to the signal processor.
3. The media server is connected directly to the signal processor via a different graphics card than
the one connected to the monitor (see 2 above). This allows the media server content to go to the
signal processor.
4. The camera is connected to the signal processor. This allows the camera content to go to the
signal processor.
5. TheCD player is connected to the signal process. This allows the CD player content to go to the
signal processor.
6. The signal processor is connected to the hub. This connects the signal processor to the signal
processor software on the media server.
7. The preview monitor is connected the signal processor.
8. The LED wall driver is connected to the signal processor.
9. The LED wall is connected to the LED wall driver.
