Examples
Connection to the signal processor allows the software to send commands to it. No configuration of
operation can happen until the software is connected to the signal processor.
To connect the software to the signal processor, do the following:
1. Make sure there is a physical connection between the PC with the software and the signal
processor. See
Connections
2. Make sure signal processor, PC, and all other components in the video system are powered on
working properly.
3. Start the signal processor software.
4. Click on the Connection tab.
5. Click on Ethernet option. The circle to the left of the option turns blue.
6. Press <INF> on the signal processor repeatedly until the IP address shows in the screen.
7. Enter the IP address into the Remote Host option of the Connection tab.
8. Click on the green Open Comm button. See
red to show communication has been established.
The output resolution is the size of the output screen. See
the most common output resolutions.
To set the output resolution to 1024x768x60p, do the following:
1. Click the Mode tab.
2. Click the drop down box next to Output Format.
3. Highlight 1024x768x60p and click. The live output screen changes format and 1024x768x60p
moves into the field next to Output Format.
Changing the output resolution does effect the preview monitor.
The scale can be set differently for each Input Source so the image can be made a certain size and
placed at a certain place on the Live Screen. Scaling is especially important when configuring PIP
mode.
Scale is set by different function in the software depending on which input source is being scaled.
Input sources 1 and 2 are scaled from Config -> Mode Config -> Layer 1 or Layer 2.
The other input sources are called from Config -> Mode Config ->Scaling Function.
To scale the image from DVI3 to be 900 pixels wide and place it 90 pixels from the left edge of the
screen do the following:
1. Click on the Mode tab.
2. Click Program DVI3. The image from input source DVI3 shows in the program screen.
3. Click the Config tab.
4. Click Mode Config.
5. Click the Scaling Function tab.
6. Drop the cursor in the field next to X and enter 90.
7. Drop the cursor in the filed next Width and enter 900.
8. Click Set. The image on the program screen gets narrower and moves to the right.
