ROUBLESHOOTING
In Front Panel operation:
· Configure all input, outputs and scaling before operation.
In Software operation:
· Make sure the operator can see both the signal processor and the software interface.
· If there is any discrepancy between what the signal processor is doing and what the software
shows, use the <Synchronize> button (see
· A serial connection can be used to connect the signal processor to the PC with the software, but
an IP connection is faster and more reliable.
· The <Open Comm> button is green when the software
In either mode:
· The signal processor's default output resolution is 1024x768.
· Any scaling done for the main image in PIP stays in place after PIP mode is exited.
· Do not change output format or output resolution while live.
· Factory reset kills all saved configurations.
There are 2 measurements used when working with video content:
· The aspect ratio or shape of the content, often called the format
· The resolution or how many dots make up the image
There are a number of different formats and resolutions. The 2 most common formats are 4:3 aspect
ratio, or standard format, and 16:9 aspect ratio or widescreen format.
The terms HD and widescreen are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. HD
refers to certain resolutions in the 16:9 format.
The chart below is a guide to the most common resolutions found in the 2 most common video
formats.
