Switch off apparatus
5. Close safety cover.
For safety reasons, the
apparatus can only be
operated if the safety
cover is closed. If the
safety cover is opened
during the mixing
process, the motor
stops automatically.
6. Selecting the mixing
time: The mixing time
can be set between 1
and 30 seconds. In gen-
eral a mixing time of
10 seconds can be used
(unless other mixing
times are recommend-
ed by the material sup-
plier in the instructions
for use). By default, the
Silamat S6 was set to
10 seconds. The last
used mixing time
remains stored even if
the apparatus had been
switched off in the
meantime.
7. Press "Start" key.
Once the set mixing
time has been complet-
ed, the mixer stops
automatically and
the capsule can be
removed.
If you wish to termi-
nate the mixing process
prematurely, open the
safety cover.

ratus, remove the
power cord from the
socket of the apparatus
or the mains socket.
2. The switch on the rear
side is only used to
turn off the operability
of the apparatus.
Cleaning
disinfecting solutions (e.g. solutions based on orange oil
or with an ethanol content of more than 50%), solvents
(e.g. acetone), or pointed instruments, which may
damage or scratch the plastic. Make sure that no disin-
fectant, other liquid or foreign object enters the appara-
tus. The safety cover may be removed for cleaning by
entirely opening the cover and carefully pulling it off to
the back at the same time.

Warranty and repair

The warranty for the Silamat S6 is three years from the
date of purchase. Malfunctions resulting from faulty
material or manufacturing errors are repaired free of
charge during the warranty period. For that purpose, the
apparatus has to be sent C+F in the original packaging
to the dealer or directly to Ivoclar Vivadent AG together
with the corresponding receipt. Damages resulting from
wear, transportation or incorrect start-up and improper
use are not covered by the warranty.
Repair work may only be carried out by a certified
Ivoclar Vivadent Service Center. Use only original spare
parts.
Disposal
The apparatus must not be disposed in the nor-
mal domestic waste. Dispose of old apparatus
according to the corresponding legal require-
ments in your country.
Switch off the apparatus
by disconnecting the
mains cord.
Clean housing, keypad
and safety cover with a
soft cloth and customary
aldehyde-free disinfecting
solution. Do not clean
