1. Battery Compartment
Accommodates the battery in the
unit.
2. Chain Sprocket
The toothed wheel that drives the
saw chain.
3. Chain Brake
A device to stop the rotation of the
chain. Is activated in a kickback
situation by the operator's hand or
by inertia.
4. Guide Bar
Supports and guides the saw chain.
5. Oilomatic Saw Chain
A loop consisting of cutters, tie
straps and drive links.
6. Chain Sprocket Cover
Covers the chain sprocket.
7. Chain Catcher
Helps to reduce the risk of operator
contact by a chain when it breaks or
comes off the bar.
8. Adjusting Wheel
Permits precise adjustment of chain
tension.
9. Handle of Wingnut
Has to be released to tension chain
with adjusting wheel.
10. Bumper Spike
Toothed stop for holding saw steady
against wood.
11. Oil Filler Cap
For closing the oil tank.

12. Front Hand Guard
Provides protection against
projecting branches and helps
prevent left hand from touching the
chain if it slips off the handlebar. It
also serves as the lever for chain
brake activation.
13. Front Handle (Handlebar)
Handlebar for the left hand at the
front of the saw.
14. Trigger Switch Lockout
Must be depressed before the
trigger switch can be activated.
15. Trigger Switch
Switches the motor on and off and
controls the speed of the motor.
16. Rear Handle
The support handle for the right
hand, located at the rear of the saw.
17. Rear Hand Guard
Gives added protection to
operator's right hand.
18. Battery Locking Tabs
Secure the battery in the unit.
19. Battery
Supplies the motor with electrical
power.
20. Push Button
For activating light emitting diodes
(LED) on battery.
21. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) on
Battery
Indicate the state of charge and
operating condition of the battery.
22. Charger
Charges the battery.
23. Light Emitting Diode (LED) on
Charger
Indicates charger operating mode
and certain problems.
24. Power Supply Cord
Supplies electric current to charger.
