Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of this PUKY
learner bike. You have acquired a quality prod-
uct, which is certain to bring you great joy.
This manual contains information on the safe
use of your leaner bike and its care. Please
read the manual carefully prior to use and
keep it in a secure place for future reference.
Failure to observe the information contained in
this manual may impair the safety of your
child. Should you have any questions, please
contact your dealer or contact us via our
website: www.puky.de.
Parents' responsibility
Supervise and make your child aware of any
potential hazards. The learner bike must be
used with caution. A certain degree of skill is
required to avoid falls or crashes, which may
cause damage to the bike or injury to the rider
or other persons. Please also take into consid-
eration that unforeseen situations and hazards
may occur as a result of the natural need for
movement and temperament of young children
and adolescents for which the manufacturer
cannot be held liable.
Persons riding the bike must wear closed foot-
wear. PUKY recommends wearing a safety
helmet (see PUKY Accessories).
The learner bike may not be used in the vicini-
ty of stairs, downhill slopes, steep terrain,
swimming pools or other bodies of water.
Stairs in the vicinity must be secured to pre-
vent children from riding up or down them on
their bikes.

Usage
This bike may only be used on suitable play-
grounds and in safe areas. Despite its sporty
design (appearance and technology), the bike
is not suitable for use on rugged terrain or for
jumps. The bike does not comply with the
requirements of German Road Traffic Regula-
tions (StVZO) and may not be used on public
roads. The total permissible load is max.
25 kg.
The bike must be adjusted to the size of the
child. Adjust the saddle so that the soles of the
child's feet still touch the ground when the
child's legs are slightly bent while riding
(please also take compression of the springs
into account!). Adjust the handlebar so that the
child is seated as upright as possible and is
able to optimally see its surroundings.
Please observe the marking of the mini
mum insertion depth of the saddle post
(min. 65 mm).
Statutory warranty covers defects. Damage
resulting from improper use, use of force, lack
of maintenance, or normal wear and tear, is
excluded from such a statutory defect warranty.
Learner bike with a brake – yes or no?
The motor skills of children learning to ride the
learner bike at about the age of 2.5 years are
not yet sufficiently developed to independently
use the handbrakes and to bring their bike to a
standstill on their own. The brakes on the bike
tend to give supervising adults a „false sense
of security", resulting in their paying less atten-
tion to the learning child. Observations have
shown that older children also very much enjoy
riding learner bikes. For this advanced target
