Before printing
• Ensure that the correct ink ribbon cartridge and paper are used (page 28).
• Ensure that the ink ribbon cartridge, paper cover and print paper are
properly loaded (pages 22 through 27).

Turn on the power of the printer.
All indicators, PRINT, ALARM, RIBBON and PAPER are lit, then all
of them go out. Now the printer is in standby status.
The message "DIGITAL PRINTING SYSTEM UPX-2000" is
displayed for about 8 seconds on the LCD of the station, then disappears.

Press the B/W/COLOR button on the station to select black and white
(B/W) or color (COL) for a printout.

Press the SPLIT button on the station to select a full size (1) or split (2,
4, 6, 9, 16) reduced image for a printout.

Adjust the printout quality, if necessary.

Press the PRINT button on the station.
The POWER/BUSY lamp on the station blinks in red. The messages
"TRANSFERRING IMAGE..." and "DO NOT REMOVE CAMERA"
are displayed on the LCD of the station. While these messages are
displayed, the camera's LCD is turned off, and when image transfer is
finished, the LCD is automatically turned on again. Be sure not to
remove the camera from the station while these messages are
displayed.
After the image data are transferred from the camera to the station, the
POWER/BUSY lamp of the station lights in red, and the message
"PROCESSING IMAGE..." is displayed.
The printing will be completed in about two and a half minutes.
The time required for printing varies depending on the type of paper
used.
