Weights positioning Modes
The unit always has a weight mode automatically
selected, refer to the display.
Select the appropriate key (B, Fig. 5-11) to scroll along
the weight modes continuously.
The weight mode currently selected is shown by the
illuminated indicator
(A, Fig.
NORMAL
Used for steel rims.
ALU mode
(B, Figura 5-11)
Used for light alloy rims or where one or more stick-
on weights are to be used.
The stick-on weight(s) must be applied by hand.
QUICK ALU MODE
Press B for at least three seconds to activate the
Quick ALU Mode function; the "NORMAL" weights
selection is activated. The key now alternates only
the following modes; NORMAL, ALU2, ALU3. To
make all the ALU available again, keep the key
pressed as before.
Hidden Weight Mode
Used for light alloy rims or for wheels that are
diffi cult to balance.
The stick-on weight(s) must be applied with the
gauge arm. This guarantees more accurate weight
positioning compared to applying the stick-on
weight(s) by hand.
Note:
If the stick-on weight must be hidden
behind two spokes, select the Split Weight
Mode before applying the weight in the
right plane
STATIC
(Fig. 5-11)
Retrieve the function with key (B, Fig. 5-11).
Used for small wheels that are not balanced
dynamically, e.g.: small moped wheels.
No "left" or
"right" weight is calculated.
Mount the wheel
