Maintenance Procedures
NOTICE
Refer to Fig. 3 for parts identifi cation.
Clean / Replace Burners and Orifi ce
To avoid burns, allow the burner

box and burner components to cool
ATTENTION
before attempting to service.
Clean Burner
1.
Turn OFF power to the refrigerator.
2.
Close LP gas tank valve.
3.
Close gas control valve manual shut-off.
4.
Remove drip cup.
Use two wrenches to loosen the

burner tube to prevent damage to
ATTENTION
connections, piping, and components.
A damaged burner tube creates a
potential for gas leaks.
5.
Remove burner box cover.
6.
Disconnect burner tube from orifi ce assembly; remove
orifi ce assembly.
7.
Remove burner retaining screw; remove burner from
burner box frame.
8.
Clean burner.
Burner slots may be cleaned with a

CAUTION
small fl at fi le. The inner bore of burner
body may be cleaned with a 3/16 in.,
double-spiral wire brush. Do not dam-
age threads when cleaning inner bore
of burner.

9.
Visually inspect orifi ce. If dirty, wash assembly with
alcohol then allow to air dry. Replace orifi ce assembly
if cleaning fails to remove dirt or if the condition of the
part is questionable.
10. Clean any accumulation of dirt or debris from burner
box base.
11. Reinstall burner. Do not over tighten burner's retain-
ing screw.Turn ON refrigerator and select LP manual
mode operation.
12. Thread orifi ce assembly into burner fi nger tight, then
fi nish tightening using two wrenches.
13. Thread burner tube fi tting fi nger tight, then fi nish tight-
ening using two wrenches.
14. Install burner box cover. Do not overtighten the cover
retaining screw.
15. Open LP gas tank valve.
16. Open solenoid gas valve manual shut-off.
17. Turn ON refrigerator and select LP manual mode
operation.
18. Leak test LP gas connections during 30 second trial-
for-ignition.
19. If gas leak detected, shut off gas at main source and
correct problem.
20. Repeat steps 15-19 until a gas leak-free environment
is achieved.

Do not insert any type of cleaning
tool or wire into orifi ce. Do not drill or
ream the orifi ce opening to clean it.
Insertion of any type of cleaning tools,
reaming, or drills through opening will
alter volume of LP gas fl ow to burner
and create a fi re hazard potential.
Do not use compressed air to clean a
jeweled type orifi ce. The air pressure
may unseat the jewel orifi ce insert
from adapter.
