dose the amount of
batter. If you use too
little batter the upper
part of the appliance
will not sit correctly;
in this case the cake
will not be as brown
on top as it is on the
bottom. If you use too
much batter the excess
batter will overflow and adhere on
the appliance and the counter-
top. The amount of dough requi-
red depends on the recipe used.
Tip: Make a note of the amount
of batter used, so that you have
the suitable amount of batter on
hand the next time you bake. Only
the lower part of the baking pan
should be filled with batter to just
below the edge, because the bat-
ter expands when baking.
11. Ensure that batter does not drip
onto the pin in the middle of the
baking pan. If a some batter does
adhere on the pin, please remove
it carefully with a damp paper
towel before closing the baking
pan - danger of burns!
12. Close the appliance and with the
handle turn the baking pan 180°
clockwise. Then hold the pan in
place briefly so that the dough is
distributed properly. The guide
rail on the housing prevents you
from turning the appliance too far.
Flip the handle in so that it is not
in way during the baking process.
13. Allow the appliance to bake for
approx. 18 to 25 minutes. The
green indicator lamp that is now
on the underside, goes out and
22
lights up alternately, while the
appliance maintains the baking
temperature.
14. If some batter runs out of the
appliance, it can be wiped off
with a damp cloth. Because the
appliance becomes extremely hot
during the baking process, always
wear heat-resistant oven mitts to
avoid burns.
15. At the end of the baking time flip
out the handle and turn the baking
pan counter-clockwise 180° back
into the initial position, so that the
indicator lamps point upward.
16. Open the appliance and check
whether the cake is done. Tip: Use
a thin wooden skewer (such as a
barbeque skewer) and stick it into
the cake. Pull out the skewer. If
there is batter on the skewer that
cake is not done yet. Close the
appliance, turn it over again and
allow it to bake a while longer.
When the skewer comes out of the
cake without batter on it the cake
is done.
17. Allow the cake to cool for several
minutes in the baking pan.
20. If you want to bake more cakes,
clean the carrier plate, reinsert
the dried and oiled carrier plate
and proceed as described above.
18. Grasp
both
handles of the
carrier plate and
take
the
cake
out of the baking
pan.
19. Allow
the
cake to cool off
on a cake rack.
