The [eft front element centre[ may be used as a normal element or as a simmer element, The "Simmer Select" feature
heats the element at a much lower temperature than when used as a normal surface element, You may switch
between normal cooking and the Simmer Select feature at any time during the cooking process, When using the
element control for normal cooking a[[ of the settings on the centre[ knob (LO to HI) function as normal
To Start Simmer Select:
1,
Place correctly sized cookware on the radiant surface element,

Turn the Simmer Select control knob located above the [eft front centre[ knob to ON,
3,
Turn the surface control knob to within the _
dark band,
4,
To return to normal cooking, turn the "Simmer Select" control knob to OFF, When cooking is complete, be sure to
set the control knob to the OFF position,
The suggested settings found in the tame below are based on cooking in medium-weight
aluminum pans with rids, Settings may vary when using other types of pans,
STANDARD SETTING FOR SURFACE ELEMENTS

Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been
turned off, The glass surface may still be hot and burns may occur if the glass surface is
touched before it has cooled sufficiently,
Do not place plastic
items such as salt and pepper shakers,
spoon
holders
or plastic wrappings
on top of the range when it is in use. These items could
melt or ignite, Potho[ders, towels or wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too dose to
the surface elements,
