Intended use
The charging cable is intended for charging electric and
hybrid vehicles using suitable infrastructure. Any use other
than specified is not permitted. The charging cable is only
safe when observing this operating manual.
Please read this operating manual before using the charger
cable and follow the instructions.
Apart from this operating manual, please refer to the docu-
mentation for your electric vehicle.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to
the charging cable. Furthermore, this is associated with risks
such as electric shock, short circuit or fire.
Improper use
Improper use increases the risk of material and health
damage.
Stay clear of the following:
„ Modifying / manipulating the charging cable.
„ Using inappropriate plug-in devices for connection.
„ Using a defective charging cable.
Not the manufacturer, but the operator / owner is liable
for all personal injury and material damage resulting from
improper use. Please note that operating and / or connec-
tion errors are outside our sphere of influence. MENNEKES
Stecker GmbH & Co. KG assumes no liability for damage
resulting from improper use.
Important safety information
„ Children must not use the charging cable!
„ Keep animals away from the charging cable.
„ Connect the charging cable only to plug-in devices pro-
vided for this purpose.
„ Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables.
„ Do not use the charging cable in potentially explosive
atmospheres where flammable liquids, gas or dust are
present – risk of explosion and fire!

CAUTION
Material damage due to condensation when ventila‑
tion opening is blocked
The air vent is located on the underside (see following
illustration).
f Keep the opening uncovered and clean.
f Do not cover the opening or place stickers on it.
f Do not stick objects into the holes.

Damaged charging cable – danger to life through
electric shock.
A damaged charging cable may result in death or severe
injury.
f Check the charging cable for damage (such as cracks)
before each use. Replace a damaged charging cable
with a new one.
f Do not use adapter plugs or extensions for the
charging cable.
