Intended use
The charging cable is intended for the charging of electric
and hybrid vehicles at charging stations suitable for this.
Any other use that is not the use specified is not permitted.
The charging cable is only safe when this operating manual
is observed.
Read this operating manual before using the charging cable
and follow the instructions.
In addition to this manual, the electric vehicle documenta-
tion must also be complied with.
Failure to comply with this manual can cause damage to
the charging cable. Furthermore, this is associated with risks
such as electric shock, short-circuit or fire.
Improper use
Improper use increases the risk of material damage and
damage to health.
Always avoid the following points:
Changing / manipulating the charging cable
Connecting the charging cable to unsuitable plugs and
sockets.
Using a faulty charging cable.
The operator, not the manufacturer, is responsible for all
personal injuries and material damage that result from
improper use.
Please note that operating and/or connection errors are out-
side of our sphere of influence.
MENNEKES Stecker GmbH & Co. KG accepts no liability for
any damage arising from improper use of the device.
Important safety information
Children must not use the charging cable!
Please keep animals away from the charging cable.
Only connect the charging cable to plugs and sock-
ets intended for it.
Do not use adapter connectors or extension cables.
Do not use the charging cable in potentially-explo-
sive atmospheres, where flammable liquids, gases
or dust are present – risk of fire and explosion!

Avoid the situations shown here. If this
information is not complied with, there is a
risk of material damage and personal injury!

Operation
WARNING
Damaged charging cable – Danger to life by electric
shock!
A damaged charging cables can result in death or severe
injury.
f Check the charging cable for damage (e.g. cracks) prior
to every use. Replace a damaged charging cable with a
new one.
f Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables in
conjunction with the charging cable.
Starting the charging process
Observe the cover page – figure 2.
When the charging cable is connected with the charging
station and the electric vehicle, the charging process can be
started.
Also observe your electric vehicle documentation.
