9. Controls

9.1 General

9.2 Controls on the handlebar

9.3 Folding down the handlebar

● Unscrew rotary handles (H) until they
turn freely.

● Fold down upper handlebar (1) and rest
it on the lower housing.
9.4 Height adjustment of the
handlebar
The handlebar (1) can be adjusted
to 3 positions:
I Low
II Medium
III High
● Loosen rotary handle for handlebar
height adjustment (2) by turning anti-
clockwise (approx. 5 turns).
● Hold handlebar (1) with both hands and
bring to the desired position by moving
up or down. Ensure that handlebar
adjustment is the same on the left and
right sides.
● Tighten rotary handle for handlebar
height adjustment (2) again by turning
clockwise.

9.5 Central cutting height
adjustment
MB 545, MB 545 T, MB 545 V,
MB 545 VE, MB 545 VM, MB 545 VS:
Seven cutting heights can be set.
Level 1: 25 mm
Level 7: 80 mm
MB 545 VR:
Six cutting heights can be set.
Level 1: 20 mm
Level 6: 75 mm
● Adjustment lever (1) for the height
adjustment is located on the left side of
the machine (see illustration).
● Hold the machine at handle (2) and pull
adjustment lever (1) upwards and hold
in order to release the detent

height by moving the machine upwards
or downwards.
● This can be read off at cutting height
indicator (3).
● Release adjustment lever (1) again and
allow the height adjustment to engage.
9.6 Battery and charger
(MB 545 VE)
The lawn mower MB 545 VE is
equipped with an electric starter. A lithium-
ion battery is used as the starter battery.
