Packing, transport, storage
The glass cartridges must be protected against sun exposure and be
stored in a dry place according to the assembly instructions at tempe-
ratures of at least +5° C to at the most +25° C.
Glass cartridges with exceeded date of expiry may not be used
anymore.
The anchors must be packed and supplied as a mounting unit. The
glass cartridges are packed separately from the anchor rods (including
hexagon nuts and washers).
The glass cartridges V-P may only be used with the appropriate anchor
rods V-A A4.
6.2 Generally the following applies:
– The specifications for mounting can be inferred from the
drawings (item 12).
– The anchors selected by haacon do not replace having the
dimensioning examined by a stress analyst according to the
GB
local operating conditions.
– All other fastenings (selection, dimensioning, design) are
the sole responsibility of the operator, and/or of the compa-
ny assigned by him.
7. mounTInG + oPERATIon
After the initial assembly, still before start-up, the crane must
be examined by an expert (item 8) and the release confirmed in
the examination book.
Assembly and disassembly by 2 persons.
Always wear protective gloves.
moving the cable pulley respectively the mounting for the chain
hoist (fig. 3)::
Only move the mounting without load!
z Release cotter pin (100557) and withdraw bolt (121787).
z At required jib length, peg mounting with bolts and safe-
guard with cotter pins.
Fitting of the lifting device (fig. 3)
z detach safety ring (100734).
z pull out bolt (130131).
z insert lifting device into receiver.
z Insert bolt (130131) and secure with safety ring (100734).
Swivelling:
z The swivel jib crane can be pivoted by pushing or pulling of the
outrigger.
Generally the following applies:
– Do not pull with a jerk!
– Persons are not allowed to stand under suspended loads!
– Do not use crank for swivelling crane!
– Do not swivel with the chain of the chain hoist!
Greasing the polyamide ring at the mast and box column
facilitates swivelling.

8. TESTInG
The equipment must be inspected in accordance with the conditions of
use and the operating conditions at least once per year by an author-
ised person 2 per TRBS 1203 (Technical expert) (testing per BetrSi-
chV, §10, sect.2 represents implementation of EC Directives 89/391/
EEC and 95/63/EC and the annual occupational safety inspection per
DGUV-V 54, §23, sect. 2 and DGUV-G 309-007). These inspections
must be documented:
– Before commissioning.
– After significant alterations before recommissioning.
– At least once per year.
– In the event of unusual occurrences arising that could have detri-
mental effects on the safety of the winch (extraordinary tests, e.g.
after a long period of inactivity, accidents, natural events).
– After repair works that could have an influence on the safety of the
winch.
Technical experts (AP2) are persons, who have sufficient knowledge
based on their specialist training and experience, in the areas of
winches, lift and pull systems and the relevant official occupational
health and safety rules, accident prevention regulations, guidelines
and generally accepted engineering rules (e.g. EN standards), to
evaluate the operational safety of winches, and lift and pull systems.
Technical experts (AP2) are to be nominated by the operator of the
equipment. Performance of the annual occupational safety inspection
as well as the training required to obtain the aforementioned knowl-
edge and skills can be provided by haacon hebetechnik.
9. mAInTEnAncE REcommEnDATIon
The operator determines the intervals themselves based on frequency
of use and the operating conditions.
– Regular cleaning, no steam jets!
– Carry out visual check on inaccessible brakes / locks every 5 years
at the latest, replace brake pads as required.
– General overhaul by the manufacturer after 10 years at the latest.
