4 Working with the Discman

Charge the battery before you use the edge grinder for the first time; the battery will not reach full power
until it has been recharged multiple times.

4.3 Before commissioning

Before you start working, remove the locking bolt and the Allen key from the device!

For an optimum workplace layout, route the power cable
down from the ceiling.
For safety reasons, the Discman 4 / Discman free will not
start automati-cally after a power outage when being used
with the power supply unit. The Discman 4 / Discman
free has to be turned off and on again.
Switching off the Discman.

To remove, press the lock and pull out the battery.

Insert the battery into the charger.

Plug in the charger and insert the terminals on the battery in line with

the labels on the charger.
After charging the battery, unplug the charger.

If you want to charge multiple batteries, you must leave a 15 minute

break between charging sessions.
