Instructions for use and maintenance SATA air star F
Warning!
Only strict compliance with the specifications included in these instructions for use and
maintenance can guarantee the safe and efficient use of the half-mask.
SATA will not accept any liability for damage, which is caused by incorrect or unreasonable
use of the half-mask, as well as maintenance and repair works, which are not carried out
by SATA or an authorised business partner.
In addition, it must also be noted that respiratory equipment must only be used by trained
skilled personnel. These persons or their line managers must be familiar with both the limits
to the areas of use of the device and the applicable statutory instruments in the country of
use. E.g. in Germany, the BGR 190 „Regulations for the use of breathing apparatus" issued
by the umbrella organisation of the industrial employers' liability insurance associations and
the BGI 504-26 must be observed."
1. Areas of use and conditions
The SATA air star F half-mask consists of a mask for holding the the two fi lter cartridges via
a special quick-fi t fi xing in accordance with EN141:2000 and EN143:2000. The mask alone
does not constitute respiratory equipment. However it serves as a safe connection between
the fi lters and the respiratory tracts of the user. Observe the fi lter use instructions and the
offi cial occupational safety regulations.
Filter devices are used for respiratory protection against harmful particles as well as against
harmful gases and vapours. The use of the fi lter device depends on the choice of respiratory
fi lters. Temperature during use: - 30° C to 60° C
Always use two respiratory fi lters of the same type from a pack (pair).
The SATA air star F half-mask fulfi ls the requirements of the standard EN140:98 and bears
the CE symbol of conformity.

3. Instructions for use
Before using the mask for the very fi rst time, make sure the mask is thoroughly cleaned with
the included cleaning cloth.
