Note: The headband with mask cap must be replaced completely. Individual components
are not available.
8. Guarantee conditions
Guarantee conditions in so far as the supplier has assumed a manufacturer's guarantee as stated in
the offer.
a) The supplier grants a guarantee period of 12 months for this kind of equipment; the guarantee period
commences on the date of sale to the fi nal customer.
b) The guarantee covers the material value of components with manufacturing and material faults
which are detected during the guarantee period. The guarantee does not cover any damage caused
by incorrect handling, normal wear or mechanical damage.
c) Any other further claims of any sort lodged against the supplier, particularly claims for damages, are
ruled out. This also applies to damages caused during consultation talks, instruction sessions and
demonstrations. The fi nal customer's rights vis-à-vis his contracting partner remain unaffected.
d) If the customer requires immediate repair or replacement before ascertaining whether we as sup-
pliers are obliged to provide replacement, the replacement delivery or repairs are provided and will
be invoiced and paid according to the currently valid price. If further verifi cation of the complaint
reveals that the customer is entitled to claim under the guarantee, the purchaser shall receive a
credit note corresponding to the guarantee service provided for the invoiced repair or replacement
delivery. Components for which replacements have been delivered become the property of the
supplier again. Notifi cations of faults or other complaints do not entitle the customer or his represen-
tative to refuse or delay payment.
e) The unit is to be returned with transport costs paid. The supplier does not assume any costs for
delegating engineers (Travelling time and costs) together with freight and packaging costs. The
supplier's conditions for the delegation of engineers apply here.
f) Any services provided under the guarantee do not prolong the guarantee period.
g) The guarantee becomes null and void in the event of any third-party interference
h) These guarantee conditions are an integral part of the supplier's general coditions of delivery.
SATA can not be held responsible for injuries caused by non-observance of the operating instruction.

9. EU Declaration of Conformity
SATA GmbH & Co. KG, Domertalstraße 20 - D-70806 Kornwestheim hereby declares that the PSA
(PPE) described in the following, viz.: half-mask SATA air star F complies with the stipulations of Direc-
tive 89/686/EEC and their successive amendments (93/68/EEC, 93/95/EEC and 96/58/EC) and cor-
responds with the requirements of Standard DIN EN 140:1998. It is identical with the PPE tested and
certifi ed by the BGIA (CE 0121) -Berufsgenossenschaftliches Institut für Arbeitssicherheit - Alte Heer-
straße 111- D-53757 Sankt Augustin (Employers' Liability Safety at Work Institute). EC Design type
certifi cations Nos. 0501170 and 0501171 were issued in December 2005 for the half mask SATA air
star F. Monitoring of the manufacturer's quality assurance system (Article 11B) is carried out by EXAM
BBG Prüf- und Zertifi zier GmbH - Am Technologiepark 1 - D-45307 Essen, notifi ed under No. 0158.
