▷ Lock tracing ball with lock nut.

▷ Perform a functional impression of the maxilla
with the individual plastic tray, using the tracing
ball as the tray handle.

Fixation of the axis relation
▷ Put thermoplastic material (bite/impression
compound) onto bite fork at three marked loca-
tions of the tray.
▷ Apply Artex facebow and perform cranium-axis-
related registration of the maxilla tray.

Adjustment of the vertical distance
▷ Screw tracing tablet back onto mandibular tray.
Pay attention that the retention screws are
flush with the upper side of the tablet.
▷ Release lock nut of tracing ball.
