PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO SERVICE
1) Check that the machine has not been damaged during transport.
2) Check the oil levels of the engine and of hydrostatic transmission.
3) Check the tyre pressure:
1.2 BAR front wheels 3,50-6 TRACTOR
1.2 BAR rear wheels 18×9.50-8 TRACTOR
4) Check the battery voltage; it must be at least 12 Volts. Charge if necessary.
5) IMPORTANT!!! During assembly take care not to reverse the polarity of the battery.
6) Fix the steering wheel taking care to insert the key properly and to tight the screw correctly
(tightening torque 2 KgF.m [20 Nm]).
7) Fit the muffler, the rear bumper and the roll bar.
RUNNING IN – CAUTION!!
Change the engine oil and filter after the first 20 working hours. Check that there are no oil leaks or
slack screws, especially those which fix the blade and the steering.
BEFORE STARTING UP THE ENGINE
Before starting up the engine, always check that:
– the travel lever is in idle position (2,fig. 3);
– the engine oil level is correct (fig. 4);
– the engine cooling intake grids are clean (fig. 4);
– air filter is clean (fig. 8).
– the mowing deck is clean;
– the hydraulic motor fins are clean (fig. 5);
– the blades are sharp and firmly fastened in place;
– the screw in the centre of the blade hub is safety tightened (3, fig. 9)
– the oil in the hydraulic axle is at the correct level (fig. 5); the correct level is 12 mm underneath the
bottom of the tank (fig. 10);
Fill the fuel tank using a funnel with very fine filter.
Adjust the seat by using the lever (fig. 2, position A).
STARTING UP THE ENGINE
– Push the throttle half way in (5, fig. 3)
– If the engine is cold, use the choke (6, fig. 3). Turn the ignition key (1, fig. 1).
– Once the engine has started, turn off the choke and wait for a few minutes to allow the engine to
warm up.
IMPORTANT: When travelling with the mower from one place to another, keep the cutting deck at the
maximum height setting.
SWITCHING ON THE HEADLAMP
To switch on the headlamp, put the ignition key in the second position (fig. 15, position A).
IMPORTANT
It is necessary to switch on the headlamp once the engine has started up to avoid battery discharge.
STARTING WORK
– Choose the desired cutting height by means of the lever (fig. 2, no.8). Suitably accelerate the
engine and engage the PTO lever using the switch on the dashboard (fig.1, no. 6). Gently operate
the forward travel lever (2, fig. 3) and start work. To stop, return the forward travel lever to the stop
position.
– The lever (2, fig. 3) is also used to reverse. When it is moved back, the machine moves backwards;
always operate it gently.
