SAP
Stereo programs
This VCR automatically records stereo programs in stereo. When stereo
r P
programs are received, the STEREO indicator appears in the display
(
window. The stereo program will be recorded in stereo on the main track
p
and in monaural (left and right channels mixed) on the normal audio track.
SAP programs
Normally, this VCR records main sound on both main and normal audio
tracks. To record SAP sound on the normal audio track, press SAP to turn
on the SAP indicator in the display window.
Notes
• If you press SAP when no SAP program is received, the SAP indicator
will not appear in the display window.
In this case, the main sound is recorded in monaural on the normal audio
track.
• The SAP mode is effective even if you turn off the VCR. TO resume
normal mode, press SAP again.

MONITOR
To monitor SAP sound while recording
Press AUDIO MONITOR repeatedly until you can hear the SAP sound.
Press this button again to hear the main sound.
