CAUTION
Improper assembly of the screw connections
Fall due to breakage or loosening of the screw connections
► Clean the threads before every installation.
► Apply the specified installation torque values.
► Observe the instructions for securing the screw connections and the
use of the correct length.
5.1 Mounting the adapter
Recommended tools and materials:
>
710D4 Torque Wrench, degreasing cleaner (e.g. 634A3 Acetone)
1) Loosen the tube clamp cap screw by 2 turns.
2) For final assembly: clean the insertion range of the tube clamp adapter
and tube adapter with degreasing cleaner.
3) Fully insert the tube adapter into the tube clamp adapter up to the stop.
Align the clamping slot:
Tube clamp adapter: anterior
Tube clamp adapter, sliding: anterior or medial
4) Tighten the tube clamp cap screw (installation torque: M4: 5 Nm,
M5: 10 Nm, M6: 13 Nm).
5.2 Installation in the modular prosthesis
Required tools and materials:
>
710D4 Torque Wrench, 636K13 Loctite®
► Perform the installation of the modular prosthesis and replacement of the
set screws as described in the instructions for use of the connecting
component.

5.3 Adjusting the adapter

The proximal section of the tube clamp adapter is movable in a dovetail
guide. A set screw acts as a stop. It is fastened in the desired position.
Adjusting the stop
Tools required:
>
710D4 torque wrench
► CAUTION! Only use the adapter with the set screw screwed in!
Screw in the set screw at the desired position (installation torque:
5 Nm).
