Hum noise is heard even when the volume is low
• Is another device connected?
This is hum noise. This type of noise may be produced because the M-100FX and connected device
are picking up electromagnetic waves. This type of noise can also be produced by the AC power
supply frequency (50/60 Hz) or a large motor. Try moving motorized devices farther away from
the M-100FX, or connect the M-100FX to a different AC outlet. You can also try connecting your
device to a different input jack.
Reverb effect is not applied
• Could the reverb send level be too low?
The reverb send level may be too low for you to hear the effect. Turn the reverb/AUX send level
knob toward the right to increase the level.
• Could the reverb type select knob be set to OFF?
There will be no effect if the reverb type select knob is set to OFF. Turn the reverb type select
knob to a position other than OFF.
Soft voices or sounds disappear
• Could you be applying audio/voice effect 5.NOISE REDUCER?
If a mic is connected to mic input jacks 1 or 2 and the audio/voice effect NOISE REDUCER is
applied, sound that is softer than a certain level may disappear. In this case, adjust the input level
knob (GAIN) to raise the input level, or turn effect knob B toward the left.
If a device is connected to mic input jacks 1/2 to input sound, try increasing the volume of the
connected device.
Can't hear the audio/voice effect
• Could the effect balance knob be set to the DRY (left) position?
There will be no effect if the knob is set to the DRY position. If you want a stronger effect, turn the
knob toward FX (right).
ROBOT/MALE/FEMALE audio/voice effect is not satisfactory, or is unstable
These effects are applied by detecting the frequency of the input audio. The effect will not be
satisfactory if the input audio level is too low, or if there is a large amount of background noise, or
if more than one person is speaking. Input the voice of one person at an appropriate level.
Too much (or too little) reverb
To adjust the reverb depth, use the reverb/AUX send level knob of each channel to adjust the
amount of signal that is sent to the reverb.
The volume level of the device connected to the mic input jacks, line input jacks, or
external input jacks is too low.
• Could you be using a connection cable that contains a resistor?
Use a connection cable that does not contain a resistor.
• Is the device connected to the mic input jack?
Turn the input level knob toward the right to adjust the input level.
