2.5 General safety instructions
• Observe applicable accident prevention and environmental safety regulations.
• Observe the safety rules and regulations of the country in which the product is
being used.
• Only use Rexroth products that are in good working order.
• Heed all the notices on the product.
• Persons who assemble, operate, disassemble, or maintain Rexroth products must not
consume any alcohol, drugs, or pharmaceuticals that may affect their reaction time.
• Use only original accessories and spare parts from Rexroth in order to prevent
hazards to people due to unsuitable spare parts.
• Observe the technical data and ambient conditions specifi ed in the product
documentation.
• You may commission the product (case lifter) only once a relevant qualifi ed
personnel has determined via electrical and safety engineering acceptance of
the arrangement of the product and of the installation location, so that the work
environment corresponds to country-specifi c regulations, safety rules and standards
of the application (risk assessment according to occupational safety law (D), or
general guidelines 89/391/EWG).
2.6 Product-specifi c safety instructions
• Never attempt to modify the product.
• Do not overload the product under any circumstances. Never use the product as a
handhold or step. Do not place any objects on the product.
• Always ensure that the product cannot topple over.
• Follow the transport instructions on the packaging.
• Inspect the product for obvious shipping damage.
• Lay cables and lines in a protected state so that they cannot be damaged and no
one can trip over them.
• The orange colored mains cables with H07BQ-F (3842 554 183, ...555 603 , ...605,
...607) are provided to connect the case lifter.
The black mains cables with H05VV-F (3842 517 045, 3842 522 585, 3842 523 919,
3842 517 210) and the connecting cables are suitable for fi xed installations in "light
industrial spaces" (DIN EN 50565-2). If this does not apply, additional protection
must be provided.
• Switch off the voltage to the relevant system component before assembling the
product or when connecting and disconnecting plugs.
• Ensure that the system component cannot be switched back on.
• Before start-up, make sure that all seals and caps for the plug-in connections
are correctly installed and undamaged in order to prevent fl uids and debris from
infi ltrating the product.
• The base unit is conductive and can be used in an EPA (only in conjunction with
suitable containers and fork 3 842 549 435 or 3 842 549 442). Conductance only
exists when the mains plug is plugged in.
The hand switch and its mount are not ESD-conductive and are therefore to be set
up away from the work and storage area.
