120 V, 20 Ampere Receptacle (Duplex)
20 amps of current may be drawn from the receptacle. However, total power drawn must be kept
within nameplate ratings.

Circuit Protector

The receptacles are protected by an AC circuit protector. If the generator is overloaded or an external short
circuit occurs, the circuit protector will trip. If this occurs, disconnect all electrical loads and try to determine the
cause of the problem before attempting to use the generator again. If overloading causes the circuit protector to
trip, reduce the load. NOTE: Continuous tripping of the circuit protector may cause damage to generator or
equipment. The circuit protector may be reset by pushing the button of the protector.

Engine Economy Switch

When the Engine Economy Switch is turned to the "ON" position, the
economy control unit automatically determines the generator's proper engine
speed based on the connected electronic load. This results in superior fuel
economy and reduces noise.
When the Economy Switch is turned to the "OFF" position, the engine runs at
the rated speed of 4,850 r/min.
Note: The Engine Economy Switch must be turned to the "OFF" position when
using electronic devices that require a large starting current, such as a compressor.

Parallel Outlets

Located just above the Ground Terminal, the generator's Parallel Outlets enable a
user to run two PM2000i generators simultaneously. This operation requires a
special parallel operation cable kit. When operating parallel generators, the rated
output is 3.24kVA and the rated current is 27A/120VAC. For cables and
instructions contact Customer Service at 1-888-977-2622 for a PARALLEL
OPERATION CABLE KIT.
Only connect this generator to another PM2000i
generator.
Only use a parallel operation cable kit designed
to work with this generator.

Ground Terminal

The National Electric Code requires that this product be properly connected to an appropriate earth ground to help prevent
electric shock. A ground terminal connected to the frame of the generator has been provided for this purpose. Connecting a
length of heavy gauge (8 AWG min.) copper wire between the generator Ground Terminal and a copper rod driven into the
ground should provide a suitable ground connection. However, consult with a local electrician to insure that local codes are
being adhered to.
Generator must be properly grounded to prevent
electrocution.
Only operate generator on a level surface.
Always connect the nut and ground terminal on
the frame to an appropriate ground source.
