Mounting the external camera
Through-holes for the camera connection cable
Feed the connection cable (see fig. 10.D, page 11) through existing through-
holes where possible or other openings such as ventilation grids. If there is no
other option, drill a Ø 13 mm hole. Check beforehand that there is sufficient
room for the drill head to emerge once the hole has been made.
➤
Drill a hole of Ø 13 mm in the vacinity of the camera.
➤
Grind all drill holes that have been made in the sheet metal and apply rust-protection.
➤
Place a cable sleeve in all sharp edged ducts.

Only use the hexagon socket bolts supplied to fit the camera in the camera
holder (see fig. 10.E, page 11). Longer screws will damage the camera.
➤
Push the camera into the camera holder and align it so that the lens forms an angle
of approx. 50° (see fig. 10.E, page 11) to the perpendicular axis of the vehicle.
➤
First fix the camera in position loosely with two hexagon socket bolts (see fig. 10.E3,
page 11).
These bolts and the other 4 bolts (see fig. 10.E4, page 11) are tightened when the
camera is aligned using the monitor.
We recommend greasing the threads of the bolts to prevent corrosion.
