The sterilizer is designed for a quickly and safely sterilization of the surgical tools' tip parts.
The operating temperature 230°C ensures the elimination of any micro-organisms in few seconds.
The sterilizer is equipped with:
- armoured resistance 150 Watt
- main switch with green light
- lamps to control the correct working of the equipment
- automatic thermostat to maintain a constant temperature
- protection fuse 1A with removable box
- removable power cable with safety plug.
The safety of the equipment is granted by a planning and manufacturing in accordance with the rules
in force (i.e.: double thermic insulation, a very accurate electric insulation, protection fuse, power
cable with safety plug, insulation externally protected by a stainless steel plate, armoured resistance,
air circulation around five sides, switch and lamps with safety marks, etc.).
The quartz balls container is extractable and is made with nickel copper. It has an edge to avoid loss of
glassbeads. Quickly cleaning and quartz balls recharged.
Carriage
The sterilizer is shipped in an adequate package that requires the common handling cautions for fragile
materials, as shown on the package itself. Use only the original package if the equipment must be
returned to the manufacturer. To carry the sterilizer without package, keep it in a horizontal position
and use the base as holding point.
Installation - start up
Remove the equipment from the package handling with care. Check the power supply system is correctly
grounded. Place the sterilizer on a level surface so that air can freely circulate under the equipment
bottom side. Keep the back side of the sterilizer at least 10cm. away from walls or others appliances to
ensure an adequate ventilation. Do not place the sterilizer near heat sources that could influence
negatively the thermostat. Full the container with glassbeads, and pay attention to pull them 5-6mm.
below the edge, avoiding in this way their discharge. Insert the container into its housing.
Insert the safety plug of the power supply cable, firstly into the equipment socket and then into the
electric system. Press switch position "I". Check if the lamp switch and orange lamp are light up.
Note: a typical smell of heated ceramic fibre may be present at the first power on and remain for a short
period of time.
Instructions to use
Press the power switch on "I".
Keep the upper cover closed to avoid any loss of heat, till the equipment is working. The equipment
will take up 30 minutes to reach its operating temperature (230×C in the container).
When the sterilizer is operating, the green and orange lamps alternatively light up: that means
temperature is between 230×C and 235×C. approx.
When the working temperature is reached, the surgical tools can be sterilized by introducing their tips,
in accordance with the required depth, into the quartz balls.
On the front panel you can find the sterilization time (see Table "A" too). Tools of small dimensions,
particular clamps have to be used to avoid possible burns.
Before the sterilization, surgical tools must be cleaned and dried.
