● Align and mount new clip: Attach the hook to ensure the tightest
possible fit of the clip. Compress the nose on the clamping ring
using type R 53 239 pliers until the connection piece is securely
located in the facepiece body.
● If fitted, adjust the drinking valve.
● Hook the cap into place on the button. If a drinking valve is fitted,
pull the cap over the drinking valve. Hook the cap into the visor
frame.
● If a drinking valve is fitted, pull the covering cap of the drinking
valve with the frame over the drinking valve, then mount it to the
cap.
● Mount the rotary knob, then fasten the three screws
(recommended torque: 0.44+0.03 ft lb/60+5 Ncm).
● Use Loctite 221 to secure the screw at the rotary knob.
● If fitted, put the covering cap on the drinking valve.
● Fasten the nose cup.
● If a drinking valve is fitted, mount the mouthpiece.
Replacing the head harness
Replace head harness as follows (see Figure K1 on Page 3):
● Pull the head harness away from the rubber flap of the facepiece.
● Push the connecting stud of the rubber flap out of the strap kit clip.
Attach the head harness to the facepiece as follows (see Figure K2
on Page 3):
● Put the clip on the connecting stud of the rubber flap, then lock it
into place.
Make sure that the pin on the rubber flap has locked into the hole
of the clip.

Transport

Transport the full facepiece in a carrying box or mask bag.

Storage

Store the cleaned Dräger FPS 7000 RP dry and free of dust in the
associated carrying box or mask bag.
Storage temperature: 5 °F to 77 °F (-15 °C to 25 °C).
Keep from direct sunlight or heat radiation.
Follow ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning storage,
cleaning, and maintenance of rubber products.

Disposal

Dispose of the facepiece according to local waste disposal
regulations.
